New: Dr. Hillary Clark joined Eyes on the North Optometry in June 2026. Welcome back to Elliot Lake, Dr. Clark!
Dr. Phillippe Morel, originally from Elliot Lake, wanted to return home to be able to help the community that he grew up in.
He graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2021 where he got his optometry degree. He is now the only full time optometrist in Elliot Lake and has taken over Dr. Coccimiglio's practice.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Hillary Clark back to her hometown of Elliot Lake, where she will be joining Eyes on the North Optometry.
Dr. Clark earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph before completing her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo, graduating with Honours in 2026. She completed her clinical externships in Orillia, ON and Airdrie, AB, where she gained valuable experience providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, with a particular focus on senior populations. Dr. Clark is excited to begin her optometry career in Elliot Lake and is passionate about improving access to high-quality eye care in her community.
Hillary was heavily involved in sports growing up, particularly swimming with ELAC and running with the ELSS cross country and track and field teams. She then went on to pursue cross country and track and field at the varsity level during her undergraduate and optometry education with immense success, earning herself provincial and national medals and Academic All-Canadian status, while leading the Waterloo Warriors as their team captain. She continues to compete at the national level in middle-distance running and can often be spotted training on the streets of Elliot Lake.
